Inspired by Mallorca
Mallorca has been a great inspiration for Isabel López-Quesada when thinking of how to design the store in collaboration with Zara Home. The relaxed character of the island, the local customs and crafts have influenced the design process of the store from the beginning on. Creating a connection between the modern yet cosy concept store and the island of Mallorca has been one of Isabel’s aims. Zara Home Palma has also launched an exclusive collection dedicated to Mallorca‘s capital including bed linen and other textiles in summer colors such as coral, mint and lime. For the store’s opening the chefs Tomeu Arbona and Javier Bonet have created a unique menu for all guests using local products.
The famous interior designer has teamed up with Zara Home to create a concept store that invites to go treasure hunting, get inspired and simply enjoy the amazing surroundings. Isabel López-Quesada considers creating beautiful spaces and homes as her vocation. The designer has been leading her firm since 1983 which is now one of the most prestigious architecture and decoration companies in the world. Isabel does not only work in Spain but internationally. She has lead projects in the United States, France or Japan just to name a few. The power woman likes to mix different styles such as contemporary trends with traditional decor and finds inspiration in her travels and curiosity.
