RCD Mallorca fans are celebrating, returning to LaLiga Santander in a great triumph against Deportivo de La Coruña. Spectacularly winning 3-0 in front of their home fans, RCD Mallorca are now back at the top flight, competing against the very best teams in the Spanish league.
RCD Mallorca Triumph
Mallorca’s play-off campaign began with a 2-1 aggregate victory over the impressive Albacete, which earnt them their ticket to the final playoff – a final hurdle that looked almost too difficult after their 2-0 defeat in Riazor.
Mallorca’s promotion to LaLiga Santander means the top flight of Spanish football will once again get to enjoy one of Spain’s historic clubs, after an amazing two-division climb in just a single year. With the sporting hero Rafa Nadal watching from the sidelines, RCD Mallorca played an impeccable match, with goals from Budimir, Salva Sevilla and Abdón.
The fans of RCD Mallorca invaded the field at the Son Moix stadium in a celebration that their beloved team bravely fought to win an incredible match. Thousands of people immediately descended to the streets of Palma to celebrate the victory of their team until the early hours of the morning.
Just weeks earlier, RCD Mallorca held a press conference at the headquarters of OK Group in Palma where Maheta Molango, CEO of the club, appeared before the media alongside the players Manolo Reina, Lago Junior and Abdón Prats.
Here, Molango stressed the importance of focusing on the games ahead, stating the commitment and dedication of the team. Othman Ktiri, President and founder of OK Group, also expressed the support of his business group to the team before their important events.
