This summer, the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar becomes the epicentre of youth tennis, welcoming more than 1,200 young people from over 60 different countries to their ‘Building a Champion’ training program.
Rafa Nadal Academy
The acclaimed academy will offer a training program designed players between the ages of 8 and 18 years old, who will learn according to the methodology that the Academy has created and developed as a result of the experience acquired by the team that has taken Rafa Nadal to the top of professional tennis.
This week, 130 players from 30 different countries arrived in Manacor, where through the ‘Building a Champion’ program attendees will be trained with the values of Rafa Nadal.
The tennis training is led by a roster of 50 top-level coaches led by the Head Coaches of Marc Gorriz, Nuno Marques and Joan Bosch. All of them have been trained in the methodology of the Academy designed by Toni Nadal himself. In order to carry out personalised attention, each teacher has a maximum of 4 students per class.
‘Building a Champion’ Program
The seven-day programs consist of 20.5 hours per week of tennis training, in addition to 10 hours of physical preparation and sports activities. Additionally, all the players compete in the weekly tournament, participate in recreational and leisure activities, visit the Rafa Nadal Museum Xperience and receive a complete training. Through this, players will complete a high level of training, taking home a great sports and entertainment experience.
Many of the parents and relatives of the players can also enjoy Mallorca thanks to the sports experience offered by the Rafa Nadal Sports Center. Located a few meters from the Academy, this complex has an exclusive building with spacious rooms and unrivaled sports facilities that allow residents to enjoy its spacious fitness areas, its Spa and Wellness Center and its indoor and outdoor pools.
