About Port d’Alcudia
Also known as Puerto Alcudia, this area once just a port, serving its inland town of Alcudia. Today, the area around the fishing harbour has emerged as an upmarket marina where fishing boats can be found among luxury yachts. There is also a wonderful pedestrianised promenade that runs all the way alongside the coastline, where you will find a good selection of cafes, bars and restaurants.
How to get to Port d’Alcudia
Port d’Alcudia is easily accessible from Palma’s airport from the MA-13 motorway which travels through the middle of the island, making it approximately 45 minutes drive by car. Although there are no direct buses from here to Port d’Alcudia, you can get there without difficulty by taking the direct 351 TIB bus from Plaça d’Espanya in the city’s centre. This takes just over an hour and connects Port d’Alcudia to Inca, Sa Pobla, Alcudia and Playa de Muro.
Activities in Port d’Alcudia
Port d’Alcudia is popular with families for its wealth of children friendly activities and gorgeous beaches. As well as a nearby waterpark, adults can also enjoy a wide range of things to do, including golfing and cycling.
Water based activities
Watersports are the most popular activity in Port d’Alcudia, with pedaloes, banana boats, parasailing and water skiing all on offer. The stunning Alcanada Golf Club is situated on Mallorca’s northern coast near Alcúdia. While playing golf you will certainly have an amazing view of the Alcanada lighthouse and the Bay of Alcúdia. Port d’Alcudia is a dream for anyone with a love of cycling providing a varied terrain with routes to the the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, There are also more leisurely option if you want to take it easy, with routes around the area’s flat plains. With cycling being one of Mallorca’s best loved sports, you will be pleased to know that there are many places to rent a bike as well as all the gear you will need.
If you are with children, Port d’Alcudia is your perfect choice! There are a wide range of great activities and venues ideal to enjoy a fun filled day with the little ones in Mallorca Hidropark is Alcudia’s very own waterpark, offering everything from slides, a wave pool and a great mini-golf course. The iconic Mallorca 312, a great cycling race takes place here and attracts thousands of cycling enthusiasts from across the world.

Port d’Alcudia is home to a variety of bars and cafes, with everything from pubs to venues hosting karaoke nights. If you are looking for a good selection of choice, head to Avinguda del Tucan where you will also not be too far away from one of the biggest nightclubs in the area, Banana Club.
Eating out in Port d’Alcudia
In Port d’Alcudia you will be well and truly spoilt for choice for places to dine at. You will find a variety of restaurants offering every type of cuisine, including international and local dishes. Most restaurants can be found within the resort and along its promenade, with more exclusive setting being found at its marina.
If you want to indulge in some delicious seafood, Miramar serves a delightful paella that must be tried. To sample typical Mallorcan food, Meson los Patos is a great pick with their tumbet being especially special. Bistro del Jardin serves Mediterranean cuisine touched by local influences. Further down the coast of Playa de Muro you will find Ponderosa Beach which is an exclusive setting to enjoy the finest international cuisine. Alternatively, if you fancy Italian, Trattoria Italiana S’Espiga is a popular choice for families serving great pizza and pasta dishes.
Beaches in Port d’Alcudia
Playa de Alcudia is the longest stretch of beach in Mallorca, showcasing 7km of beautiful golden sand, ample sun loungers and parasols. The stretch of beach closest to the port is known as Ciudad Blanca (where you will find a variety of beach bars and restaurants with lots of water activities on offer. A little more along the coast you will reach the gorgeous beach of Playa de Muro. With a more calmer ambience the beach exudes relaxation and is the perfect spot to soak in some much needed Mediterranean sunshine. Continuing on, you can also reach the tranquil holiday resort of Can Picafort.
