The increasingly popular Palma Mallorca will take place again this year on Sunday 13th October. Here, participants and spectators can delight in a beautiful route that will travel across the capital city’s most iconic landmarks, where the race is a main attractions for both runners and their travel companions.
This year, the fantastic Palma Marathon will take place again in Mallorca, where thousands are expected to take part. As well as the main race which is a 10km half marathon, visitors and participants can enjoy a host of other amazing events and activities for the entire family.
The weekend of 12th and 13th October will include a breakfast run, pasta party and the fun-filled Palma Kids run – which means that there will something for every age and running ability. If running is not your thing, you can happily cheer along the runners at some of Palma’s most special monuments.
Last year, over 10,000 runners participated in the Palma Marathon which drew an international crowd, with athletes crossing the globe to take part in the race. Here, the city’s promenade was divided by sections and time slots to enable different sporting events to take place.
The race has been designed so that one can truly delight in the unique scenery of Palma. Participants can enjoy a breath-taking course that travels along the gorgeous promenade with views over the bay and the turquoise blue waters. Created with careful thought, the race will then go towards the striking Le Seu cathedral and into the emblematic Old Town.
From the very first minute of the fantastic event, you will enjoy the spirit and emotions of the marathon. The spectacular route will not only include the old city of Palma alongside its fishing port, but descend through the city’s charming narrow streets and the stunning seafront promenade which has a length of more than 4km alongside the sea, bordering the entire city.

Palma Kids Run
For the youngest visitors to Mallorca, the Palma Marathon includes a fun race which will take place on Saturday 12th October. The event has been designed for children up to 12 years old, allowing them to discover the value of sport in their lives. The races are free for children, in a wonderful promotion of social integration, solidarity and team spirit.
The Kids Run is organised by different levels of age and with distances ranging from 300 to 1,200 metres. This fantastic addition has put the Palma Marathon on the calendar as the ultimate event for the entire family!
