Once again, the port of Palma de Mallorca will turn into an exciting display of boats, super-yachts and all things nautical. The 35th edition of the Palma International Boat Show, a leading international event, invites all guests to visit boats and yachts and learn all about the latest products, developments, boat construction and maintenance.
The nautical fair will open its doors at the Moll Vell on April 27th to May 1st and can visited every day from 11am to 8pm.
About the Palma International Boat Show
During five days the Palma International Boat Show becomes the nautical industry’s and yachting sector’s centre of attention. It is one of the most prominent events of its kind in the Mediterranean with Chema Sans as a director at the helm. The event is organised by the Balearic Institute for Business Innovation (IDI).
Every year thousands of professionals and visitors gather at this show which has become an international benchmark. Exhibitors from all over the world, including the sector’s leading companies, come together in Palma to present their latest products, services and developments.
The Exhibition Space
There will be land-based exhibition spaces as well as sea-based exhibits at the the docks, gangways and moorings on 81.400 square metres of exhibition space. This year’s show includes newly remodelled areas of the exhibition which optimise the Moll Vell setting even further. Last year, the Minister for Employment, Commerce and Industry, Iago Negueruela, gave reason that ‘due to the high demand from companies wanting to take part in the event’ the exhibition area was increased as much as possible.
Like last year, the fair will feature a 72 metre long floating bridge which will connect Consigna Jetty with Industria Pesquera dock. This way visitors can take advantage of a circular route around the space as well as gain a different perspective of Palma’s port.
This next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will stand out in particular thanks to the number of large yachts attending. Many of which are coming to the fair direct from their shipyards, and its extensive day-boat or tender exhibition featuring day-boats of up to 50 feet long. The 2019 Boat Show will undoubtedly be a fantastic showcase of all the latest trends in the yachting industry.
Palma Superyacht Show
The Palma Superyacht Show exhibition area, which debuted in 2017, offers the largest exhibition of super-yachts in Europe. 80 over 24 metres long yachts will be displayed. This area also features the refit & repair area dedicated to repairs and maintenance of yachts. The yacht section is separated from the rest of the show as it specifically attracts yachting experts and professionals. A combination of boat and super-yacht exhibitions makes Palma Boat Show a very competitive and one of the most prominent yachting fairs in the world.
