This September, Palma will once again host its vibrant Nit de l’Art. It’s one of the island’s most important and biggest art events. The eclectic festival yearly attracts thousands of artists, art lovers and collectors from all over the world. They visit galleries, museums and cultural centres in Palma that open their doors to visitors for free during this evening.
About Nit de l’Art
The fascinating Nit de l’Art is one of Mallorca’s biggest and most important festivals dedicated to contemporary art. A great night to socialise, discover Palma’s cultural offers and above all enjoy art. This year the annual event takes place for the 23rd time, marking the start of the artistic season in Mallorca. Thousands of artists, art fans and also serious collectors from Britain, Germany and other countries gather in the streets of Palma to celebrate.
Professionals, art lovers and the general public will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in an interesting tour of the contemporary cultural and artistic offer of Palma whose theme focuses this year on the emergence of African art in Europe .
Galleries, museums and cultural centers all over Palma open their doors from 19h until about midnight. Some of them inaugurate new exhibitions and installations by well-known artists or newcomers to wow their visitors. You can enjoy a drink while admiring and discussing art pieces with the artists themselves or other art fans.

It is expected that this year 30,000 people will attend the various proposals from the galleries that make up Art Palma Contemporani, AIGAB and the main cultural spaces of the city. The great annual event of culture that places Palma in the international contemporary artistic circuit.
Participating Galleries
Besides museums and cultural centres that participate, there are many fantastic galleries to go gallery hopping during the Nit de l’Art. Aba Art Lab, Addaya, Fran Reus, Horrach Moyà and Kewenig will participate. As well as Maior, Pelaires, Xavier Fiol, Gallery Red and Gerhardt Braun Gallery.
