Get to know the Artist
The emerging artist Federico Miro was born in Malaga in 1991. At his young age he has already done numerous exhibitions in cities like Madrid, London and Malaga. His work, he says, ‘is a wake-up call to our current system’. His research focuses on the study of craftmanship and the tradition of embroidery in velvet, tapestries and looms. These have their origins in Malaga and its popular culture. ‘We live at a time when new technologies absolutely absorb our daily life and have been fully incorporated into artistic discourse’, comments Miro.
